Interior Painting, Snoqualmie Mountain-View Home
The full interior finish on a new mountain-view home in Snoqualmie, with clean white walls and ceilings sprayed and rolled, crisp lines around exposed wood beams and large picture windows, and the new millwork and floors protected throughout.
Hedlund Painting delivered the full interior finish on a new mountain-view home in Snoqualmie, WA. Working through an open great room, kitchen, and vaulted living space, we sprayed and rolled clean white walls and ceilings, cut crisp lines around exposed wood beams and large picture windows, and protected the new white-oak millwork and engineered floors throughout, backed by our 10-year workmanship warranty.
The challenge
This was new construction with a high bar for finish quality. The great room carries a vaulted ceiling, exposed stained wood beams, and a two-story wall of black-framed windows that frames the Mount Si and Snoqualmie ridge, so every painted plane sits next to natural wood or a sightline a guest will study. The work needed dead-straight cut lines where white walls meet beams and window frames, fully even coverage on tall ceilings under raking daylight, and complete protection for the new white-oak cabinetry and light engineered-oak floors. There was no room for roller stipple, missed cut lines, or overspray on finished wood.
Inside the finished home.
What we did
- Walk and protect. Our superintendent walked the home, then we masked and covered the new white-oak cabinets, the kitchen island, the beams, and the engineered floors before any paint went up.
- Surface prep. We filled, sanded, and spot-primed the new drywall and trim so the finish coat would lay flat under the great room's strong natural light. Prep and primer per surface are the steps most competitors skip, and they are why the finish holds.
- Spray and finish. We sprayed and back-rolled walls and ceilings for uniform coverage on the tall vaulted planes, then hand-cut crisp lines at every beam, window frame, and trim edge.
- Cleanup and final walkthrough. We secured gear nightly, walked the site with the crew for touch-ups, then walked it with the customer for QC and final approval.
The result
A bright, gallery-clean interior where the painted surfaces disappear into the architecture and let the wood and the view lead. Soft white walls and ceilings read seamless across the open plan, from the vaulted living room with its stone-surround fireplace to the kitchen with its light-oak cabinetry and waterfall island. Cut lines around the exposed beams and the floor-to-ceiling windows are sharp and shadow-clean. The finish is even under direct daylight, with no stipple or lap marks, and the new floors and millwork came through untouched.
"Great price Great experience. Great final product! Communication through the whole process was on point! Thanks!"
