The challenge
This is an open, light-filled kitchen that flows into a dining area, with a shiplap-clad island as the room's centerpiece. A two-tone scheme like this lives or dies on the finish. Any brush marks, drips, or uneven sheen on the white perimeter or the blue island show instantly under the recessed lighting and pendant glow. The space needed a clean, uniform, durable finish on cabinetry that gets daily use, with color crisp enough to anchor the whole open floor plan.

What we did
- Disassemble and clean. Cabinet doors and drawer fronts came off and hardware was removed, then every surface was cleaned and degreased.
- Sand and prime. We sanded and primed per the surface so the coating would bond and lay perfectly flat.
- Protect and spray. We protected out-of-scope areas, the counters, floors, and the adjacent dining space, then sprayed the cabinet-grade coating for an even, brush-mark-free finish on both the white perimeter and the blue island.
- Cleanup and walkthrough. We did daily cleanup and secured gear, then a superintendent walked the finished kitchen with the customer for QC and final approval.
The result
The finished kitchen reads bright and intentional. The white perimeter cabinets are clean and uniform with no visible brush marks, and the shiplap island carries a soft, even blue that grounds the open plan and plays off the gray subway backsplash and quartz tops. Sheen is consistent panel to panel under the pendants and recessed lights. The result is a factory-smooth, cohesive two-tone kitchen that feels custom rather than repainted.
