Hedlund Painting completed the commercial interior painting for Tutta Bella restaurant in Seattle, a modern, open-plan space with double-height walls, floor-to-ceiling windows, and exposed structure. We delivered clean, uniform wall and ceiling finishes across a large hospitality build, coordinated to the restaurant's schedule and backed by our 10-year workmanship warranty.
The challenge
This is a large, modern restaurant interior: two-story walls, tall floor-to-ceiling glass, exposed ceiling structure and ductwork, a long communal wood table, a curved bar with a soffit, and an open kitchen. A space at this scale and height needs careful access and staging to reach the upper walls, ceilings, and structure safely, plus crisp cut lines around the glazing, fixtures, and exposed mechanicals.
It is also a hospitality build, which raises the bar on the finish itself. The coatings had to read clean and uniform under heavy lighting and hold up to a high-traffic commercial setting, where surfaces take far more wear than a typical interior.

What we did
- Protect out-of-scope areas. We protected the glazing, floors, fixtures, and finished surfaces.
- Prep for an even base. We prepped the walls, ceilings, and exposed structure for an even base.
- Apply at height. We applied commercial-grade coatings for uniform coverage at height and across large planes, holding crisp lines around the floor-to-ceiling glass, exposed ductwork, and the curved bar soffit.
- Coordinate the schedule. We coordinated the crew and the schedule through a dedicated superintendent, because a job this size lives or dies on management and communication.
- Clean up and stay Lead-Safe. We cleaned up daily and secured gear, applying Lead-Safe practices wherever older substrate was involved.
- Walk and approve. We closed with a superintendent walkthrough and the client's final approval.
The result
The finished interior is bright, clean, and uniform across a demanding open-plan space. Warm-white walls and ceilings carry consistent, even coverage from the floor to the two-story upper sections, with crisp lines around the floor-to-ceiling glass, exposed ductwork, and the curved bar soffit. The neutral envelope lets the wood table, brass lighting, and open kitchen stand out. A polished, durable finish fit for a high-traffic Seattle restaurant.
